Dando cumplimiento al decreto 321 de 1999 mediante el cual se adoptan el Plan Nacional de Contingencias Contra Derrames de Hidrocarburos, Derivados y Sustancias Nocivas  en Aguas Marinas Fluviales y Lacustre, art 10 de la ley 491 de 1999, la cual establece “Reporte del daño”, se remite un informe inicial  del derrame de producto Diésel por instalación de válvula ilícita, detectado el día 16 de enero de 2014, en el Poliducto Salgar – Neiva, Km  259+800 en la Vereda Guasimal, Municipio Natagaima, Departamento del Tolima.

 

Lo anterior no implica obviar lo establecido en el numeral 8 del artículo 5 del Decreto 321 de 1999, como tampoco implica en sí misma responsabilidad de ECOPETROL S.A. por los daños ambientales que se puedan producir por el derrame de hidrocarburo ocasionado por acciones de terceras personas.
